To me, designs is not just a combination of text and graphics, it should convey a message. However, many designers fail to do that, even they are technically expert. This is because designs is not just about the skills of managing a graphic software, but also the IDEA, which many designers lack of. In other words, beside technical knowledge, a designer should be senstive to the surroundings and all the things happening in the world. Broaden your view, gain more knowledge, and you are on your way to create many impressive designs, easily, because your mind is full of inspiration, ideas and creativity that are ready to be unleash.
I often heard designers complaining about how they are being treated by the public. In some countries, designer is a professional career and well respected, but for other countries, it’s the otherwise. This is due to different environment, culture and how design stand in their life. However, i believe great designs with great effort do pay off. Having the right attitude, enjoy and appreciate what you are doing, and eventually the clients will see it in your designs. Effort speaks. Even if he doesn’t like it, at least you are satisfied and believe in your work.
In short, we should be happy being a designer, and feel bless for every job handed to us. Go all out for each journey, regardless while brain-storming or execution. Free your mind, and you will feel the difference!
