"Love, peace and joy for my family and friends,
I wish for all this and more".

In 2006 I lit a small votive candle every night for 12 months. I began this practice out of respect and love for my grandmother sending her prayers for better health but it soon evolved into a quiet, personal ritual that led to a brilliant collection of melted candles.

Formed by the molten wax I would anticipate the form left behind by a new burning candle each evening. Moved by the reaction from friends and family to the growing collection of surreal forms I explored several product ideas, finally resolving the candle-beds – candleholders for small tea-light candles.

‘I wish’ is a collection of 3 different holders for tea-light candles; including two single holders and one pair.

Each candle holder possesses the memory of the votive candle from which it received its form. The end-result is a collection of beautifully crafted objects possessing a surreal fluid like effect. ‘I wish’ is a small product with great sentiment.
