During the day, the environment is reflected in their motionless bodies. It is only when it dawns that they awaken, brought to life. While their outer form slowly grows darker, the inside space of the sharp- edged features brims with light. The glowing edges now signalize a state of highest alertness. Batman&Robin are pendant luminaires. Its shade is folded out of a single piece of alu composite using the core of the sandwich material as a hinge. The well reflecting surface of the alu coating provides a balanced and atmospheric light. The edges of the shade glow due to the translucent core material. Batman emits a wide, Robin a narrow light cone.
