For his final Master project at the art academy of Utrecht, Thomas Clever wrote and designed the conceptual framework for a new (proto)type of search engine.

Dissatisfied with current 'search results', he analysed current search engines, Web 2.0 applications and future (Web 3.0) possibilities, and based the design around the potential of social knowledge networks.

PreSearch Engine's concept draws inspiration from network and media theory and the likes Buchanan, Barabasi, Foucault, Surowiecki and Tufte
