After obtaining his art school diploma (metals and jewelry),
Piero Quintiliani enrolled at the Industrial Design School of Rome (ISIA); during his studies there, he collaborated with most major Italian design studios and designed products for many important brands, such as Addex Design, Alcatel France, Algida, Bontempi, Dupont, Oregon Scientific, Tim, Telecom Italia, etc. His thesis project, “Mandibola,” an innovative motorcycle helmet, won a prestigious review (ADI Design Index 2004) from the Association of Industrial Design. After his studies, Quintiliani began working as an industrial designer using a 3D optical scanner, 3D model software and rapid prototyping, he acquired experience in diverse business sectors, such as furniture, medical equipment, light design, telephony, electronics, household appliances, cosmetics, yacht design, etc. At the moment, Quintiliani is working as a freelance designer for various companies, offering diverse services in industrial design, multimedia and communication design, combining research and innovation in order to ensure the success of the product on the market. He also teaches design at the “Istituto Italiano Design” (Higher Italian State Institute for Design) in Perugia.
