one world, one chance, but after all- orbis non sufficit
Transcending western and eastern culture is my target.
My Grandgrandfather emmigrated to China, opened a hospital for western medicine in Jinan, where my grandfather was born. They returned at the end of WWII to Munich, where my father was raised as a buddhist by his father, who was influenced more by his chinese maid and house teacher than by christian culture. I myself didn't think a lot about my family history, until I began to study art in Tokyo in 2002. I suddenly understood, that the eastern culture was in a way more home to me than my years in Germany and Switzerland. Now I try to communicate with both cultures and show them the richness of their everyday lifes.
