Box is a project about an independent and modular bathroom. It consists on segments where the different sanitary pieces are included to configure a bathroom. It is energetically responsible and contributes to the water saving. It includes a heat pump, which uses the humid air to warm the water and the stay.
The Box only needs a water and an electricity intake to supply everything necessary to this bathroom.
At its walls two water tanks are lodge; in the first one there is gathered the warm water proceeding from the heat pump for the daily bathroom; in the second one there is gathered the water used in the shower and the wash-basin to be re-used in the cistern of the watercloset. Finally the water is rejected by the watercloset outlet.
All the controls of the faucets are electronic and tactile to control the water, it inform you at all time about the temperature to which is the water and the quantity that is consumed. When the faucet turns off it inform you about the water that has been exhausted since it was turned on. In the cistern it has been divide the water quantity in 3 different wealths, to fit better the consumption.
There have been created several modules that fit between them to form different possibilities depending on the needs of each customer.
#1 • It includes the watercloset and the wash-basin, and lodges the heat pump and both water tanks. This module includes all the principal elements, being able to work in an independent way as a simple bathroom.
#2 • It contains the shower, a small seat and two shelves with towel racks.
#3 • For doing the bathroom bigger a module has been created with two additional shelves, without any sanitary element.
In addition it includes a last closing module that can be opened, or with crystal closing, which can be completely closed or with an access door.
The modules are formed by a metallic hollow structure covered with Corian® and wood so that the interior stays in hollow to lodge the water tanks and the sanitary and electrical facilities. The pipelines are made in flexible materials to adapt to the location of the modules, which can be located in any position.
This bathroom is perfect for any type of housing, hotel or loft. Its in situ assembly it’s fast and simple. It doesn’t need any partition or existing room to be installed. Also it can be used as a small wardrobe or bathroom for exteriors or gardens.
